The gyratory crusher serves as the primary crushing equipment for large-scale mines. Its liners consist of two core components: the mantle and the segmented concave. Paired together, they form the crushing chamber, enduring compressive force and impact abrasion from ore to protect the mainframe. They directly determine throughput, product particle size and maintenance downtime interval.
Main Materials
- Mn13 Manganese Steel: The basic grade. It features work-hardening properties, good impact resistance and cost performance, suitable for medium-hard ore.
- Mn18Cr2: The preferred widely used grade. Chromium modification enables faster work hardening and longer wear life than Mn13, and it is the first choice for Peruvian copper mines.
- Mn22Cr2: Ultra-high manganese steel. It delivers superior wear resistance for highly abrasive ore and hard rock.
- Alloy Steel / High-Chromium Composite: Applied in locally high-wear areas. TiC reinforcement is available as an option to further extend service life (our proprietary process).
Working Principle
When subjected to ore impact, manganese steel continuously hardens on the surface while maintaining toughness in the core, resisting cracking. This makes it well-suited for heavy-impact working conditions in gyratory primary crushing.
